FLIGHTS
We are delighted to be able to again offer Saturday - Saturday flights to Chambery from Gatwick, Manchester and Edinburgh.
Our prices include return Gatwick/Chambrey flights and resort transfers.
Supplements for Manchester/Chambery flights £30 p.p. and
Edinburgh/Chambery supplement £55 p.p.. We may also be able to source other charter and scheduled flights from regional airports, for which supplements will apply. Please ask for details.

The Gatwick and Manchester flights are with Excel airways - inflight meals are NOT included on these flights - a meal and snacks will be available to purchase.
The Gatwick flight leaves from the South Terminal, the Manchester flight leaves from Terminal 3.
Edinburgh flights are with the charter arm of British Airways - inflight meals will be served on this flight.
Baggage allowance 20kg plus one pair of skis or one snowboard (boots are included in the 20kgs).
We do not charge extra for ski carriage on the above flights.

At Chambery you will be met by Finlays skiing holidays representatives and advised of the transfer arrangements.
Transfers from the airport are normally by coach, although we can arrange mini buses and taxis for an additional cost. Please note we do not always have a separate coach for each flight and therefore there may be a short wait at the airport whilst everyone collects their bags and clears Customs.
The normal coach transfer time to Courchevel and Les Coches is 1.5 hours, Val d'Isere is 2.5 hours.
On the homeward journey the time of departure from the resort will normally be at 08.00 but his may vary depending on weather and road conditions. Our ski holiday clients will be advised of the arrangements on the Friday evening.
We can offer special arrangements for secure parking at all UK airports including Gatwick, Manchester and Edinburgh. In addition we can book overnight hotel accommodation at the airport of your choice, often at discounted prices and inclusive of parking. This is definitely worth considering as all our flights have early departure times. Telephone for details or alternatively see:

TRAINS
There are three main ways to travel by train. We do not have our own allocation of seats on these trains but if you book your skiing holiday with Finlays and would prefer to travel this way, we may be able to assist you in booking seats. There will be a supplement for train travel, the amount will depend on the dates of travel and, with options 2 & 3, if you opt for standard or first class seats.
A Eurostar train from London St. Pancras to Paris, departing on Friday afternoon. There is a change of train in Paris from the normal Eurostar to an SNCF sleeper train (6 "couchettes" per compartment). Travel through the night on this sleeper arriving at Moutiers or Bourg St Maurice early on the Saturday morning. Transfer to the resort will be by coach, mini bus or taxi depending on the number of people travelling.
The return journey leaves on the following Saturday evening and arrives back into London on the Sunday morning.

This is a direct train from London St. Pancras to Moutiers, or Bourg St Maurice which departs on Friday evening. It is a normal train, there are no sleeping compartments. It arrives at Moutiers at 5.50am and at Bourg St Maurice at 6.30am. Transfer to the resort will be by coach, mini bus or taxi depending on the number of people travelling.
Do be aware however, that we cannot give access to our chalets until 9.00am at the earliest, and therefore guests who travel on this train will not be met at the station until 8.15am at the earliest. The return journey departs late on the following Saturday evening. We will provide somewhere for you to change after skiing, but do bear in mind that you will have several hours to wait after skiing and you will no longer have access
to your chalet - our new guests will have arrived.

is that you are able to ski or board on both the Saturday of arrival and the Saturday of departure, which is generally not possible if you fly. Please note however, that the chalet will NOT be ready for you on your arrival as there will still be ski holiday guests from the previous week having breakfast. We will make somewhere, not necessarily the chalet that you have booked, available for you to leave your bags and change.
By the time you return from skiing boarding in the afternoon the chalet will be ready for you. This works in reverse the following Saturday when we ask you to vacate your catered chalet after breakfast. After skiing boarding there will be somewhere to change before you are taken to the station for your return journey.
This is a direct alternative to flying. The train departs from London St. Pancras on Saturday morning and travels directly to Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice, arriving in the early evening. Resorts transfers are as above. The return journey the following week departs on the Saturday morning and arrives at St. Pancras in the late afternoon.

CAR FERRY
If you are coming by car, we will provide detailed driving directions and location maps of the resorts. It is essential that you carry snowchains. We can also offer very good rates for ferry crossings from Dover to Calais and Eurotunnel from Folkestone to Calais. It is essential that you carry snowchains. These can be hired or bought in the UK.

INDEPENDENT
For those of our ski holiday guests who wish to travel completely independently there is a discount of £100 per person from the listed prices. Please do remember however if you book your own flights, you still need to transfer from your arrival airport to the resort, which is not always easy or convenient and can be very expensive. We will be happy to advise you and can certainly book hire cars for you if required. The following resources may be of use:

Do please note that if you are driving or travelling independently you should not arrive at the chalet before 9 o'clock on the Saturday morning and that the chalet will not be completely ready for you until 3 pm. However, should you arrive between these times we will make somewhere available for you to leave your bags and change to go skiing boarding. Conversely, if you wish to ski or board the following Saturday, we ask you to vacate your chalet after breakfast. However we will make a room available, up until 1600 hours, to enable you to change before you leave the resort.
