Chalet Marsa is a lovely chalet situated in the Le Fornet hamlet of Val d'Isere. Furnished and equipped to a very high standard, this catered chalet is ideally positioned close to the Le Fornet cable car, adjacent to the road and near the well known L'Arolay restaurant.

This chalet accomodates 12 people. It comprises; six bedrooms all with en-suite facilities, a dining room with a small lounge area and open fire and a further large lounge together with a sauna, shower and hot tub - if you are of a modest disposition please bring a swimming costume / bathrobe!  

Chalet Marsa is on four floors. On the entrance level is the dining room with small lounge area and a terrace looking towards the cable-car and mountains. Guests seem to like congregating on this floor, perhaps it is the attraction of watching their evening meal being prepared in the superbly fitted, industrial kitchen adjacent to the dining room.

Stairs lead to the top floor. Here there is a large lounge with ample seating, furnished in a modern manner in contrast to the rest of the chalet. There is a satellite T.V. in this lounge (mostly French channels). Also, in the corner, divided from the lounge by a curtain there is a large hot tub and adjacent to it a sauna, shower and separate w.c.. All very popular after a hard days skiing or snowboarding on the piste. Note: children under the age of 12 years MUST be supervised when using the chalet's hot tub or sauna.

The 6 bedrooms are located on the entrance, ground and lower ground floors of the catered chalet. They are all rooms with en-suite facilities, 5 with en-suite baths and one with an en-suite shower. All of the bedrooms can be made up as doubles or twins and all the bathrooms have a hairdrier. There is a Wi-Fi connection within chalet Marsa.

In the morning a 150m walk up the road takes you to the cable car. Keen skiers and snowboarders can be on the first lift with ease, whisked up and ready to ski or board, hopefully, the first powder tracks of the day. From Le Fornet area it is possible to ski to the Solaise mountain and onwards to La Daille and Tignes.

At the end of the day, if you finish at Le Fornet, after walking up to the cable car you are left with a walk of only 150m to the chalet. If you finish at Solaise or La Daille, the free shuttle bus will drop you 50m from the door.
