..'3 Valleys' or 'Trois Vallees'. The ski area encompasses the resorts of Courchevel, Meribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens and offers a huge variety of skiing on widely differing terrain. The Three Valleys skiing includes over 600 kilometres of pisted runs and reputedly one of the most efficient ski lift systems ever built with some of the best groomed slopes in Europe.

Courchevel itself is split into 5 different areas. The higher areas are named after the height (in metres) at which they are based, Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel 1850 and the 2 lower areas are Le Praz and La Tania (both at 1300m).

COURCHEVEL 1550
We have been operating in Courchevel 1550 for 17 years and are offering 4 catered chalets there this season.

Courchevel 1550 - is situated directly below 1850 and offers very quick and easy access to the main ski areas in the Courchevel valley.

A new high speed 6 person chairlift was constructed in the summer of 2004, it replaced the old Dou du Midi 2 person chairlift, and now offers a very quick connection to the centre of 1850.

In addition, some of the slopes back to the village were altered to make them easier, and it is now much more straightforward to ski to this lift from the majority of our 1550 chalets.

There is also a 4 person bubble from the centre of 1550 right into the heart of Courchevel 1850, it runs from 9 am.until 7.30 pm daily. This bubble is being fitted with new cabins so should be a more comfortable ride next winter. Prices in Courchevel 1550 are much more moderate than 1850. There are some friendly bars and restaurants, but nightlife is quieter in comparison to its higher neighbour.

COURCHEVEL 1850 This is the highest of the 5 villages of Courchevel, and with skiing as high as 2738 metres on the Saulire mountain, the skiing and boarding season lasts from early December until the end of April.

Courchevel 1850 has an international reputation as one of the very smartest resorts, and there is certainly plenty of shopping and nightlife for those that need more than just a vast skiing terrain. Our catered ski chalet in 1850 is Chalet Elan.

This Webcam is situated on the well known mountain restaurant La Soucoupe and gives a wonderful of the whole of the Courchevel valley. The restaurant is on the ridge that leads over to La Tania and Meribel. In the bottom of the valley on the left you can see down onto Courchevel 1850, with views of the pistes, Le Jardin Alpin, Courchevel's Altiport and to the right La Saulire, its cable car and the infamous Courchevel coulouirs.
