Resort News 2009/2010

Two elderly chairlifts; Roc Mugnier & Prameruel are to be replaced by a detachable six person chairlift, this will really improve the connection between Courchevel 1850 & Courchevel 1650.

Plantrey snowpark is being moved, it is to be transferred to the zone under the Verdons telecabine. This area under this telecabine is already a great play area with lots of humps and hollows but it is to be expanded and redeveloped over the next couple of years with more entertainment; jumps, half pipes, rails etc.  and an avalanche rescue practice area.

Above Meribel Mottaret in the Plattieres area a lot of work will go on this summer. Firstly they are going to improve the start of the blue Sitelle piste to make it more accessible so fewer people will be funnelled down the often very busy Rossignol piste or the “zen” area.  The signs for the Plattieres snowpark  are to be improved which should also help congestion in here as well as and at the top of the snow park itself.  Snowcannons in this area and on the Aigle piste are to be upgraded.  Lastly the avalanche security systems in this zone will be modernised so it and the link to Val Thorens & Les Menuires should open much more quickly after heavy snowfalls.

New  - three hour lift pass - see Courchevel lift pass prices for detail.
