There are 30 ski and board hire shops spread across Courchevel Le Praz, 1550, 1650 and 1850, with the majority located between the higher two villages.

Some of them have a very wide range of skis and boards while others have a specialist but more limited range. Most shops offering a range of equipment will split it into three or four different categories, for example:

Premium: this is the top of the range gear and therefore the most expensive to hire. There will be race skis, the advanced carvers, and the all mountain ‘free-ride’ ranges. It will also include the latest products with the most recent technical innovations, whatever your type of skiing or boarding.

Excellence: great gear, but for those who prefer progression over high performance. Last year’s advanced skis are often put in this category, so if you’re looking to try out the top skis but still stick to your budget, have a look at their range.

Performance: for intermediate skiers or boarders who don’t want to work too hard, travel at high speeds or venture off piste. This is the most popular option of skis for hire, they offer great equipment for a relaxing day on the slopes.

Discovery: this is the cheapest level of equipment to hire and is well suited to first time skiers. It is something that works well and is suited to your level.

Below is a selection ski, board and boot hire prices for 6 day hire. These are only guide prices so it is important to check the actual cost in the shop at the time of hire. Alternatively you can hire online before heading to the resort.
