Most shops split their equipment into four different categories, for example:

Premium: This equipment is for experts, it is the top of the range and newest gear making it the most expensive to hire. The category includes latest products with the most recent technical innovations, whatever your type of skiing or boarding.

Excellence: This is this year’s top quality equipment for intermediate and expert skiers. It is aimed at those who prefer progression over high performance. Last year’s premium skis are often put in this category, so you can use top of the range skis without breaking the bank.

Sensation: This gear is aimed at intermediate skiers and snowboarders who don’t want to work too hard, travel at high speeds or venture off-piste. This is the most popular option of skis for hire and often has top quality skis which are a couple of years old.

Discovery: This equipment is ideal for beginners and is great for leisure skiing. It is something that works well and is suited to your level.

These prices are only meant as a guide only, different shops have different prices so it is important to check the actual cost in the shop at the time of hire. Skimium offers great online discounts and it really does pay to hire online and then get fitted at the shop. They offer a fantastic range of ski rental for all abilities and their friendly staff will make sure you get the best out of your equipment.

Sport Boutique – Meribel Centre:
Founded in 1947 this was the first ski shop in Meribel and is located in the heart of the resort. They have a selection of skis and boots to hire and experienced professionals who will find the right fitting equipment for you.
