The Ski Holiday Experts
Catered Ski Chalets,

Morzine is part of the world famous Portes du Soleil ski area which covers both France and Switzerland and is just 50 miles from Geneva airport, making it a fantastically convenient destination for British tourists. The town is full of life and offers visitors a friendly and vibrant atmosphere. The numerous traditional wooden chalets with slate roofs and stone foundations ensure that the town has retained its inviting character and Savoyarde charm.

Spanning two countries, the Portes du Soleil ski region links together up to 14 resorts including Morzine, Avoriaz, Les Gets and Saint Jean d’Aulps. It is a hugely vast area which rivals the likes of the Three Valleys; yet for lift passes, hotels, chalets and restaurants, visitors will find themselves getting far more for their money here than other popular resorts such as Meribel and Courchevel. There is more than enough variety across the slopes to entertain skiers and boarders of all abilities, from beginners to experts.

Beginners are well catered for with easily accessible wide and gentle nursery slopes. There’s no fear of dwindling snow on these low slopes as there are a number of snow canons to ensure that the snow is kept at its best. For the more experienced skier there is an abundance of varied pistes throughout the whole area, offering strong challenges and fantastic cruising opportunities. The Portes du Soleil region also boasts some great famous runs such as the Swiss Wall and the World Cup downhill black to keep even the most advanced of skiers occupied.

Not just a great skiing resort, there is a wealth of activity in Morzine for snowboarders too. In fact, there are several snowparks available throughout Portes du Soleil, with nearby Avoriaz being home to the best super-pipe in Europe. The whole region has been rated as one of the best places for boarders on the continent due to the seemingly endless freeride, pipes, parks, rails, powder bowls and cliff jumps on offer.

Morzine village itself is relaxing and friendly, offering visitors a wide variety of activities in a charming and authentic setting. Some of the activities off the piste include tennis, bowling, snowmobiling, ice skating and swimming.

The après ski is welcoming and pleasant, there are dozens of bars to choose from and, later on, there is much action to be had in the clubs at the La Pleney end of the resort.
