For the next winter season December 2008 - May 2009 we will have vacancies for the jobs described below:
To be a member of our chalet staff team you must be prepared to work hard and be flexible. The main aspects of the job are; cooking, cleaning and being friendly, sociable and helpful to all our guests. You will be asked to prepare breakfast, afternoon tea daily and a 3 or 4 course evening dinner 6 nights out of 7 - you must, therefore, have some experience in cooking to a high standard.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the chalet; cleaning public areas, bedrooms and bathrooms each day. Other duties will include purchasing, budgeting, and snow clearing. In some chalets you will work on you own and in other chalets there may be two or three members of staff working together.
This position requires the ability to work as part of a team and you must be prepared to work hard and be flexible. The main requirement of the job is to assist the chalet hosts in all aspects of running the chalet. You will be involved in food preparation and serving but will generally have special responsibility for cleaning within the chalet. There may also be other specific duties such as laundry management and snow clearing.
This post would suit somebody not sufficiently confident to run a chalet on his/her own. Preference will be given to people who can cook and could possibly take over from the chalet host at short notice.
This job requires a very flexible approach, you will be working as part of a team and will be required to turn your hand to a very wide variety of tasks. Some of the many duties will include; vehicle & chalet maintenance plus all ancillary equipment (ovens & dishwashers), snow clearing, driving, transportation & storage of food, wine logs etc.. You may have specific daily cleaning duties and will be asked to assist all other members of staff in any aspects their work.
The post would suit somebody with a practical background who can drive and who is able to relate well to fellow members of staff and our guests.

We employ both couples and singles.

Breakfasts,
Afternoon teas,
3 course dinners, each consisting of; a starter plus salad, main course with potatoes/rice or other starch dish, plus two other vegetables, and a desert.
Vegetarian options should also be included.
