Val d'Isere has an abundant quota of restaurants to cater for all tastes. A comprehensive list of these is available in all our catered chalets. It is advisable to reserve places for your Wednesday night as soon as you have settled on a particular restaurant. Richard Finlay and your chalet staff will be available to give advice on type of food, cost etc.
Listed below are some of the restaurants that are most popular with our guests and should definitely be reserved as they are popular with everyone. |

See the following posts from our Val d'Isere Diary for some snippets of info about some of these restaurants:
L'Arolay - Xmas dinner leftovers..
Casa Scara - Another perfect day!
La Casserole - Will it ever stop
There are also one or two very nice mountain restaurants for a "proper" lunch. Particularly in peak periods it is advisable to book. Again Richard Finlay will be able to advise.
Amongst the most popular are; |
|
Le Signal |
Top of Le Fornet cable car. |
"new" |
Half way down the Mangard piste, Le Fornet |
La Fruitiere |
Top of bubble station, La Daille. |
Le Triffolet |
Half way down the Vert piste, La Daille |
Les Tufs |
Beside the bottom station of Funicular, La Daille |
|
|
Also further afield in Tignes are one or two worthwhile restaurants and we can advise you on those.
Val d'Isere has many activities for those not wishing to ski or board, or for those with energy to burn after a day on the slopes: Swimming, ice-skating, ice climbing, ice driving & snowmobiles, scenic flights, yoga, gym, saunas & massages. There are opportunities to try; hang-gliding, parapente, and micro lighting. The town aside from having lots of good shops and a market once a week has other facilities; library, cinema which does show some films in English, internet cafes and an indoor sports hall.
