CHILDRENS FACILITIES

In Val d'Isere there are two nurseries which will look after children from 3 years of age. For younger children & babies there is the option of child care within the chalet, there is currently only one organisation offering this service in Val d'Isere (see Les Farfadets below). Alternatively, we are happy for our clients to bring their own nanny au pair.

In Val d'Isere children aged 4 and under ski for free, also, the nursery slopes in Val d'Isere are free so if your children are aged over 4 they may not require a lift pass until the middle of the week.

We are happy to advise our ski chalet holiday clients on any of the following Val d'Isere nursery childcare services. We can also make bookings for the nurseries but would recommend that child care within the chalet is booked direct with the respective organisation.

Village des Enfants - nursery, 2007 - 2008
The Village des Enfants is the main nursery in Val d'Isere, it is ideally situated on the nursery slopes in the heart of the town. It is open from Sunday to Thursday 9.00 - 17.45 and Friday 9.00 - 14.00 and accepts children aged between 3 and 8 years old.

There is an option of ski tuition alongside the nursery care for either mornings, afternoons full days or by the hour. Example of cost is as follows;

Le Petit Poucet - nursery, 2007 - 2008
Le Petit Poucet the second nursery in Val d'Isere, it offers a slightly different service from the Village des Enfants; no ski school lessons are provided but they will transport children to & from their lessons. They will also pick up and drop off children at chalets at the beginning and end of the day.
They are open 7 days a week 9.00 - 17.30 each day. They again offer lots of different timings from 1 hour to a whole week in the nursery. A selection of costs and timings are as follows;

A deposit will be required to make a booking and payment can only be made in Euros.

t4 Private Nanny Service, 2007 - 2008
A private nanny service, their third winter of operation in Val d'Isere. All nannies are British, with first aid training, a childcare qualification and or 1 year's experience. t4 nannies will come to the chalet to look after the children with activities from cookie baking to snowman making and will ensure the children have an exceptional holiday too.

Les Farfadets - childcare in the chalet, 2007 -2008
A private babysitting nanny agency based in France. They operate in two of our resorts and offer a flexible service from a minimum of 2 hours up to a full week (at busy times of year they may only accept bookings for full days/full weeks). Many of the carers are British or English speaking and the Les Farfadets office is manned by English speaking staff. The price varies depending on the resort to allow for travel costs, Val d'Isere prices for the 2007/2008 season are shown below.
