Many people have no idea how a catered chalet holiday works. Essentially it should be a relaxed and enjoyable skiing holiday (or snowboarding holiday!), less formal than staying in a ski hotel and certainly less demanding than self catering arrangements.
Dedicated staff run the catered chalets, keeping the chalet clean and tidy, creating a convivial atmosphere, as well as providing an extensive catering service – breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner. Leaving you to enjoy all the benefits of being in one of the top ski resorts in the world.
The majority of guests book an entire ski chalet and fill all the rooms with friends and/or family. The catered ski chalets vary in size, style and location and if you tell us your requirements, our carefully-chosen partner companies can certainly advise you on which will best suit your party.
Our partners also accept bookings from smaller groups and from individuals, and this is a great way to meet new people and enjoy the fun and convivial atmosphere of a catered chalet holiday. All bedrooms are allocated at the time of booking.
You can generally treat the ski chalet as your home for the duration of your holiday, and you can certainly bring books, games, CDs and your favourite drinks. Let your chalet owners know in advance if there are vegetarians or individuals with specific food allergies, and they’ll often make sure that the menus are devised with these requirements in mind.
Everybody is keen to get skiing and snowboarding as soon as possible on the first day. For anybody that needs lessons, particularly novices, we can assist in arranging these long before your arrival in resort. Chalet owners will often also sort out your lift passes for you on the coach transfer to the resort, or on your arrival at the chalet, delivering the passes to you. Our partners can also advise and assist you in hiring your skis, snowboards and boots, either in advance or on arrival at your chalet.
